Q4 Update 2021
Hello Everyone!
I wanted to thank you again for taking an interest in Make Something Media and the journey we've been on through the years. This is the first newsletter that we will be releasing quarterly. Four times a year; I will update you all on the journeys, projects, and adventures we've been a part of the past three months.
I wanted to start by saying thank you to all of you. All of you have played a role in supporting me and my business, and I could not be more grateful.

Make Something Media
Make Something Media is more than just another business originating from a dorm room.
It was to create something where work doesn’t feel like work. Over the last five years, I've been telling stories that I don't think I'd ever get to hear if I chose a typical 9-5 job. I've gotten to listen to stories from seniors, CEOs, Olympic gold medalists, derby winners, world travelers, NASA scientists and many more. Our YouTube clients have hit over 101 million views and we believe we are just getting started.
Since we are starting over halfway through 2021, here's an update of what's been going on.
Tokyo 2020
This past August, I worked my second Olympic Games. This year the games took place in Tokyo, Japan. Because of COVID-19, getting into the country was challenging. It took two PCR tests, a doctor's verified signature, an IRS citizen verification, 24 hours of travel, and lots of patience, but we made it. When we first arrived, the Japanese government required us to take a 14-day soft quarantine where we could only go to work and our hotel.
With the first few days of work being slow, we got very familiar with the hotel room, which was about the size of a typical American parking space. While we can't give complete details on the nature of our work, know that it's a job we love doing every couple of years, and I can't wait to tell you more about it in person next time we connect! Below are a few of my favorite photos I took while on one of my days off.
Christian Care Communities
Our partnership with Christian Care has been active for almost a year now. We are so thankful to work with them consistently by telling the stories of their residents, staff, and families. Top to bottom, we are grateful for everyone on their campuses who have treated us like family. We are inspired and encouraged to help capture stories of residents who have lived a life full of adventure. See some of their content here.
Products
This year, we've had the opportunity to cover a lot of product launches and promotional campaigns. Starting with Kinsa, a child thermometer brand that recently launched a new contactless thermometer to aid in the battle against COVID-19. We spent the day with them in Nashville to capture their new product in action. In early summer, we headed into the woods with Sun Gear to help with the launch of their new outdoor waterproof backpacks. See more here.
Thank you for your support!
Look out for the next update where we fill you in on the work we are doing this week with NASA.
